This tissue allograft product is made from minimally manipulated human umbilical tissue. The main components are the mucous connective tissue, Wharton’s Jelly, and perivascular fibers of the umbilical cord.

The natural function of these components of the umbilical cord is to insulate, cushion, and protect the blood vessels that provide the lifeline of nutrients from the mother to the fetus developing in the womb.

The fibers provide mechanical and scaffolding support, growth factors, repair, and even regeneration, in addition to cytokines that modulate any inflammation that may occur in the dynamic environment of the womb.
